Yesterday we got a roof. Today it was walls. I was a little slow getting my butt out the door this morning, and forgot the camera. Fortunately another photographer caught my mistake and brought a camera out. And caught me watching as the 'man door' was being hung. Hanging the door seemed like an exciting start, but no further work was done on that wall once it was hung, so maybe tomorrow! |

This is the back wall complete. Had an interesting chat with Tim the guy building while he was working on this wall. Among other things I learned that his girlfriend would like proof he works while gone all day. I suspect the occasional paycheck already proves he does something productive, but this web site now supports his claim too. The white area at the top of the wall is called an eave light. It allows natural light into the shop. This is the south east exposure and will let that light in in the early part of the day. The lower part of the wall is red. I started thinking this building would look like a barn. The only part of that original plan that survived this far is that red color. Oh, and that it is in my yard. |

At the end of the day there was a a second wall completed. I'm not real patient, I wanted them all done, plus the floor poured and the doors in. But I'll take two walls over what I had yesterday! |

While the guys were busy slapping up metal siding I wandered out back to see what my neighbors will enjoy. This is what those who live behind me will see as they exit their places past mine. I hope they like it. |
